An Acura RSX and Mack tractor/semi-trailer traveling eastbound collided near Exit 11 in Union Township around 8:10 p.m., New Jersey State Police Trooper Alejandro Goez said. Both vehicles entered the center median and struck the guardrail.
The tractor trailer overturned killing the driver, Adan Loya-Rodriguez, 51, of Waynesboro, VA.
The driver of the Acura, 21-year-old man from Midlothian, VA sustained moderate injuries and was airlifted to an area hospital.
The accident remains under investigation.
